I had an interesting experience today and thought I'd share it. It's really no biggie but it was fun. I am going to be on TV. Crazy, I know but it wasn't as bad as I thought. And all these communication classes I have been taking have really turned out alright. I worked really hard on not using "FILLER" words like "UM, LIKE, "etc. Dr. Stein would have been proud-if only I could pass his tests :) hahaha.. But overall Kiera the Broadcasting Major who did the interview was very sweet and made it very comfortable for me. Infact, she told me NO ONE watches SUTV so that made me feel even better. But overall it was a good experience and since my new motto in life is to "try something hard or different everyday" I can say I accomplished this today.
Movie theatre is coming along nicely. Slow and steady wins the race. There is no OFFICIAL opening day and soon I will have a list of Thank You's of all the people who have been a great Support and Positive reinforcement to this project.
So on behalf of the blog--Thank you for reading, thank you for tolerating my misspellings and Thank you for all your great ideas. I wish we could do them all and I am sorry if I have not responded to all of your reply's--I promise I have definitely read them and relayed them to "The Boys".. They love it so keep it coming..
Good night for now!
Sadie P
Cedar City Theatre was est. in 1919 and suffered a fire and lived to tell about it. "The Boys" as they are known will reconstruct it to its original frame and open a new cinema that will be worthy of anybody's pocketbook.

NEW Discount Theatre in TOWN!!
I can't help but feel the need to respond to a recent comment that has been left by a community follower of the blog. He brought up the New Discount Theatre at Fiddler's and I thought I would give you a little back ground and insight. I hope this helps...You can also read his comment on the last Blog post (Thank you Kevin Stein).
Westates Theatre's is a prominent theatre here in Cedar City. I have not lived here long enough to know or even understand why they shut down the "Twin Theatre". And that really isn't even the issue. But to settle the communities minds we new this was coming back in early January. "The boys" spoke to Westates owner and Westates threw out his threats to us and has even sent us a letter that offered a lawsuit if we try to compete with him. :) We have Attorney's lined up and are not afraid of a fair fight. We don't feel we are competing with him but he is scared-we do know that. Westates has even said they would hold their movies longer so that we would not have access to them.
But what I can tell you is that everyone loves a FIRST RUN movie. Kyle and I go and support Westates almost every weekend. That is our date night. We love the movies. I don't believe they are going to lose out on business on the first run-unless we offer more personable, friendly service :) We really aren't trying to compete with them. Our vision and love for this "Historic Theatre" is to bring back the downtown. Yes, we want it to be profitable and hopefully the community will sense our desire to offer an EXPERIENCE at the movie Theatre for their families.
It is kind of funny after all these years they finally adjusted their Theatre to make it more affordable for the community but just know we are not interested in boycotting anyone. I mean that is how America was founded-Capitalism. Good clean business fun.
So with our heads and hearts held high we will move forward--and like I tell my girls, "We can act like the step-sisters on Cinderalla or we can act like Cinderella-with grace and poise and move forward, never looking back.
Thank you for the comment Mr. Stein and thank you for your concern.
Everyone have a great Presiden'ts Day Weekend--Pictures coming soon!!!

Name Change!!
I thought maybe I should up date you on something I need your help with. We hired a web "guy" and a list of contractors and thank you's will be in the next blog. But for now I am having a hard time swallowing the NAME CHANGE.."The boys" have opted for Cedar Theatre..and I believe the Logo says "Historic Cedar Theatre". I need your response and help in order to be good with this. I think the reason I love Cedar City Theatre so much is because I took ownership of it. AND being the controlling, psycho path that I am I DON'T like change--Unless the majority (which is YOU) says to GO with it.
I love all the reads and comments and since we have asked for your voice to be heard and we want the community to feel proud of this new project I would LOVE your thoughts-maybe not your Opinions (LOL).
But I am going out on a limb and asking for YOUR help to be okay with this..I know "The Boys" are after the search engine (GOOGLE) help.
Anyway, to keep if short let me know..Would love to have the okay and permission to let go of MY name-so to speak...
Thanks,
Sadie Pulsipher

The PulsiphersLike many of you, I was excited to hear that someone was finally going to take a chance on the Downtown Theater. Now we can keep that excitement level high, but following the progress on the remodel on this blog.

The Theatre has been finishing up the electrical and HVAC and it is at creeping pace right now. But all is well. Thanks again for the support and it has been a lot of fun to walk on the SUU campus and here in the classrooms some of the comments and memories of the Theatre. I like to be behind the scenes so it is fun to here what they really think...Have a great week!!!

We are Family!!

I thought it might be fun to change it up a little and add a personal touch. Being on Mainstreet has brought a lot of interest and lot of excitement to the community and I thought you might like to know the families behind the whole project.
Kyle and Kolby have been in business in Cedar City since 2010. They own Mammoth Mobile Trailer park, Half-Off Storage, and Alamo RV park in Alamo, NV. We are all originally from Southern Nevada and between the two families you will count 11 kids-ages range from 13 years- 18 months.
Cassey is Kolby's wife and she is an amazing mother, and best sister-n-law one could have. She is a great support to Kolby and WOW- she can cook. I have never met anyone with more cook books. She has her Associate's Degree from Dixie College and she loves to read a good book-when she finds the time.
Me-Sadie, Kyle's wife, I love to sew (pillow cases), journal write, and run myself tired. Currently I am finishing my BA at SUU with my husband.
Our families spend a lot of time together, which I absolutely love. I love the chaos, and the silly times these kids can create. You will find our families on 4-wheeler trips, shooting guns, having BBQ (Cassey does that), and I love when the couples can go to dinner and laugh together. I love listening to the kids talk about what job they are going to do just so they can have a chance to watch a movie at the Theatre.
We are very excited to be here in the community and look forward to providing jobs for others, getting to know you better and enjoying the nature of Cedar City.
