The Roof Continues

BEFORE

During phase continues

The Theatre is coming along nicely. Thank You for all the interest and comments. It has been fun for us to see what everyone is thinking and saying about the Theatre. I think the community will be pleased with the outcome.  We are looking forward to working in conjunction with the community and bringing new ideas and places for families to have reunions, Sweet 16 birthdays (and any birthday for that matter) and no idea is to small or to big.  I love planning parties and getting new ideas so keep them coming.
                                         Stay Tuned.....

More Updated DURING photos

The Work (FUN) has really begun and "the boys" are on it. The whole roof had 1 layer of shingles, then they found another layer of shingles, then they found another layer and finally 7 layers later they took the roof down to the bones. The small theatre is actually being framed now to make it a more SAFE roof.

Before

DURING

This part of the roof actually bounces up and down. This is why it is being re-framed and strengthened with TJI's (don't ask me what those are, I just know they make it safe)

A HUGE Thank you to Shear D'Lite for letting us use their roof for a day.

DURING (popcorn ceiling gone)-That vent will be replaced with a Chandelier

DURING

Before

During- Don't be alarmed the chairs aren't in there. We are building a stage for recitals, conferences, bands etc.
Before

During- This helped a ton to get the popcorn off.

As you can see they are definitely making progress. Our Interior Decorator, Bonnie Char, will be getting the colors, wall paper and carpet ideas to us tomorrow and it is going to be FABULOUS!!!!

Stay tuned.....

DURING photos

BEFORE 2011

DURING 2012
This has been a rapid turn of events for our families. But it is exactly what the brother's/ partners like-WORK!! They seem busier than ever and speaking for myself, I haven't seen much of Kyle. But on my way to St. George I snuck (is that a word) in and grabbed a couple pictures.

Daily News

Oh my HECK!! We are getting much surprised publicity and I will admit that all the attention is really awesome. I knew this was a big deal for the community and  obviously it is a bigger deal than even I thought. We made the PAPER not one but TWO days in a row. SO COOL!! If you want to see the whole article then go to http://www.thespectrum.com/ . IT is FRONT PAGE news...

FACEBOOK-Like US

I had a great comment which inspired me to go for it--I am not very computer savvy but I am going to learn this and I have added a FACEBOOK page. It is under the same name as the theatre...Cedar City Theatre. I will be watching it all day to make sure I did it right but be patient with me this is a new adventure and we are all in this together. I also just added an email ..mailto:..Cedarcitytheatre@gmail.com.

Thanks,
Sadie

Happy New Year's Eve- The Lighting Ceremony

All day I have been so excited for this Lighting of the Cear City Theatre. I know it seems trite to some but I really love this whole project. I am so glad "the boys" are venturous, energetic and hard workers. I think it was time for a REAl project. "The Boys" have a track record of taking distressed properties and making them income producing and hopefully this will be one to add to their resume.

Tonight at 5pm we had family and friends show up and they all mingled  throughout the Theatre and it was very exciting to share this rare opportunity with them. We met with a gal from the newspaper who used to work at the Theatre.  Mr Thorley actually built the Theatre and we were privileged to have his Great-Grandson come to show us before pictures. The following is a list of all the people that were there to show their support-We Thank YOU!
